Delicious and Nutritious Meals for Your Littlest Foodie!
This oatmeal recipe is so good all the foodies in your family will love it! So make sure you make enough for the entire family to enjoy!
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Spray foil or parchment paper lightly with cooking spray. Place sliced bananas and pears on the cookie sheet and roast for 25 minutes.
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Stir in 1 cup of thick rolled oats (Bob’s Red Mill Organic are my favorite) and reduce heat to medium. Cook for 10-15 minutes, or according to package instructions.
Combine roasted banana, pear, cooked oatmeal and cinnamon in a food processor. Process until bananas and pears are well mixed with oatmeal – about 30 seconds. If your Littlest Foodie needs a smoother oatmeal than you do, remove about 3 cups (the adult portion) and continue processing the baby portion until you reach the desired consistency.
Refrigerates well for breakfasts on busy working mornings, but the oatmeal becomes thick once refrigerated. You’ll want to add a tablespoon or two of water, breastmilk or formula to your Littlest Foodie’s oatmeal after it’s been refrigerated.
