Delicious and Nutritious Meals for Your Littlest Foodie!
Cranberries are too tart to be eaten on their own and are often sweetened with loads of sugar. I’m not cool with adding any sugar to my Littlest Foodie diet just yet, so I’ve used apples to add natural and delicious sweetness to this recipe. My Littlest Foodie loved it and I loved that he experienced a slightly tart food giving him a new food experience! Plus, cranberries are packed full of antioxidants — can’t go wrong there! If you’re not sure about feeding your Littlest Foodie cranberries (or just can’t find them since they’re a seasonal food) use blueberries or any other antioxidant-packed berry.
Add 1 cup of water to a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil and add all ingredients. Cover and reduce heat to medium. Cook for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth or semi-smooth.
Makes about 5 servings and can be frozen for up to 2 months.
